What we want for our children
At Mill View we are working to create a curriculum and environment that encourages children to think and feel.
It is our aim to ensure that our curriculum leads children through deep knowledge, while allowing them wide opportunities to develop enquiring minds and develop their own opinions. We want our children to leave us equipped with the skills and motivation to contribute to the common good, address global challenges and flourish in a complex world.
Ultimately we want our children to develop hearts and minds that can change the world, not keep it as it is.
During their time at Mill View our children will acquire skills and knowledge, meeting and connecting ideas through meaningful learning experiences and themes.
Within each year group children will work towards their end of year objectives, building a progression of skills and knowledge.
Staff skillfully plan to connect subjects and class themes, where appropriate, while also developing children's learning super powers in
confidence, communication, collaboration, determination, creativity, independence & curiosity.
